Disappointing. There were some nice moments in the first half especially, and Jeff Bridges did his usual solid work, but too much of it was silly, or dated, or just weak. And it was too long. And I really hate to say it, 'cos I love him, but Robin Williams just wasn't quite up to some of the more dramatic scenes.

Green Book last night.
It's very polished Hollywood product and it honestly left me feeling nothing at all. Viggo was good, I suppose, tho' his performance was bordering on caricature.

Watched it the other day. Very entertaining.

Watched these three as in-flight entertainment over the last few days: To remind myself what Hollywood was capable of when they used to have scripts and strong leading actors. And also watched: Which I'd describe as a nicely sentimental old-school film, rather than particularly rave over it in accordance with the quantities of stars on the poster. Enjoyable enough, but not something that would linger long in the memory.

Stan and Ollie seems not to have done too well.

It was very poorly promoted - hard to find. I know people who wanted to see it and would have had to have driven a long way to get to it. I liked it a lot, though - I liked that it focused so much on their relationship. Which, at least as portrayed, was basically a sexless marriage.

Is this thread just "NOW PLAYING" for movies?

Watched it last night. Not Stewart's best. The female lead is pretty pathetic.

Not gone down well with band members apparently, and annoying for Smith fans no doubt. It's limited in time to the few years before Morrissey's success. I don't usually like biopics, mainly for the sanitising and polarising tendencies of them but I don't know enough about Morrissey to have been annoyed by it. I knew the Smiths music when it came out - my boyfriend of the time liked them. Though I quite liked it, I never really got it. But now I'm now really getting into this stuff I've known from decades ago - having a fresh and deeper appreciation for something that you've known for so long is a weird feeling. Not that there's any of their music in the film, obv.

One of the most disappointing films I've ever seen.

Super Mario cures racism. At least it's better than Crash.
