Alright, so what do you think of JMJ's 1977 single, Oxygene, Pt. 4?
It was a strong chart hit in many countries around the world, and is still much loved and regarded by many fans and critics.
So, bon or merde?

Played few seconds and clicked HIT, kept playing for some more seconds, changed to In Between and stopped listening. Maybe listening a bit longer would have moved my vote to Shit.
That's about it.

It's pretty good, without having any kind of quality that would make you obsess over the track. I think 'Magic Fly' from around the same time is a more interesting track, but i do still quite like 'Oxygen'.

Quite harmless and non-descript. The very essence of 'meh.'

I feel like I've been put on hold by a utility company!

It’s one of those things I’ve heard a dozen times but never remember it afterwards . It’s ok, but I prefer Tangerine Dream.

It’s okay, but I’m starting to wonder if the word ‘prog’ is perhaps being misused in these thread titles.

I'm wondering how Ange managed to avoid putting the word Froggy at the beginning of the thread title.

Yeah, "Proggy Woggy" from JC's first thread gave me the impression of something that's not quite prog, sorta prog adjacent, the prog you have when you're not having prog, etc. Something like Oxygene 4 seems right in the spot, for mine.

It's quite good. It just feels like a great hook that could've been part of a great piece of music, but it's weighed down with bombast and portentous silliness.
That guy was huge when I was young, yet seems to have gone from stadium-straddling colossus to embarrassing never-to-be-mentioned uncle, and I don't know how that process happened.

Every time, for 3 mins. at a time, I can't help but love this tune. It still sounds special somehow.

It sounds like a child sat at a keyboard, discovering one simple melodic fragment and playing it over and over again until Dad begs him to stop.
