That was tough. He's such a likeable fella. But he HAS to stop drinking.

Did you see the way he and Stephen Fry kissed when they met? It definitely seemed like an old lovers' embrace.

Yeah, but isn't Fry like that with everybody?

Aye, but it felt like an instinctive moment for both of them. It was quite sweet.

This was really sad to see, i remember him mostly from WLITA, but i remember him popping up on other tv shows. He came across as still lovable and friendly, although there was times you could see him trying to process in his mind the situation. I've always wondered how a group of successful friends deal with one friend who is going through a tough time. When i seen Fry, i started thinking did he try and get him to to rehab or maybe loan him money, did any of the other oxford floodlight crew try to help or check in on him once a month or so. They don't have to, and they have to live their own life, but it always makes me curious. The same with football teams mates, some do well and then there's one or two that fall on hard times.

Stephen Fry has had his own issues to deal with hasn't he? He's been very public about that in the last few years.
But it's an interesting question. I guess it really depends on individuals.. it's quite easy to leave people behind without really meaning to. Pink Floyd seemed to be very good at supporting Syd through the years.
Welcome back btw!

Yeah. Welcome back.
It’s a ‘safe space’.
The episode last night was very sad. It made angry. The abuse thing. A stark reminder, not that we really need one, of how a ruined childhood I’m impacts on the rest of a person’s life.
