Got my Newcastle ticket. Shit venue, apparently (I've never heard of it), but they're selling fast, so....suppose I'm lucky.

This'll be my third time seeing them. Can't remember the first at all (Manchester, 1997), the second (Prague, 2002) was in a small venue and they weren't great (the drummer was all over the shop) - I think this'll be better. But no doubt it'll be packed, and I'll get knocked about a bit. All in the name of fun!

Something I learnt today: Steven Spielberg saw the video for "Alright" and wanted to build a Monkees-style TV sitcom around Supergrass. He flew the band and the video's directors out to Hollywood for some meetings; Danny thought it could be fun, but the others wisely (?) vetoed it.
