Like they let the fucker do anything, go anywhere near enemy territory. Bet he was on a kid's quid a go helicopter machine outside an Afghan Asda with a butler telling him he was doing jolly well.

There was a photo doing the rounds - a staged one from Afghanistan that you might have seen - and somebody noted that Harry's gun on the wall has something attached to the end that indicates it fires blanks rather than live rounds.

I remember an interview with Monica Lewinsky from quite a few years back - on the internet but before Podcasts became a thing. Maybe it was one of those AOL Chat type things. anyway - she said, in so many words. "as soon as they start writing about you - do your best to GET PAID"
I think, regardless of what you think of them and if you'd pee on them if you had the chance, M&H find themselves in that very boat.Cher didn't make any money off the stories about her in the tabloids in the 70's. Lucky for her she didn't need it.
Look, I'd rather get a god damned ROOT CANAL than watch that Netflix show but it seems to me that they are taking Monica Lewinsky's advice. they are monetizing the great, festering, hard to understand FIXATION that has grown up around their situation.
I don't give a shit about either one of them but this seems to me the easiest thing to understand about them. they want to get paid.

I thought he came across well in that interview. Even the Guardian had good things to say - in fact they were probably too full of praise: He is charming, articulate, and – unless the Windsor clan has reared a world-class actor – telling us the truth as he sees it. In PR terms, it will surely serve its purpose. The book will sell in its millions, his story will appeal to the younger demographic, bolster his celebrity and maybe allow him a more manageable kind of fame than the one he was born into – which is probably his best hope at this point.
Speaking as a member of an older demographic who remembers Harry and William being born, Diana’s death, the funeral and all the rest of it, it left me only with a great sorrowful weariness: for all that has been done wrong, all that has been lost and how, in the end, how sad and ordinary every little life, however gilded, can be.www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2023/jan/08/harry-the-interview-review-so-horribly-sad-it-could-have-turned-the-queen-anti-monarchyI'm interested to see what the fallout from this (and other interviews - at least three done for US TV at the weekend) will be. It may well be seen as the beginning of a stage of mass disapproval of the monarchy in this country. It'll take a long time before they pack their bags THO

Harry's made a complete dick of himself here.
Airing your laundry in public is just not the done thing. Princess Anne can talk to him about being the "spare".

Airing your laundry in public is just not the done thing. How very 20th century of you! The ones who speak have the upper hand over the ones who remain silent. That's what he's counting on, and he's probably right. Whether older folk think it's 'not right' for royals to talk publicly about grievances is neither here nor there.

"probably right".
Writing a book (which has to sell 1.7 million copies for the publisher to break even), a Netflix series (for which he was renumerated upwards of £100 million), a Spotify podcast deal (£30 million).
FUCK OFF.

"Even the Guardian"
The Guardian are full of praise because they like the fact him and his wife are putting the boot into the Royal Family and they love Meghan because she's a idiot obsessed with race and grievance. They are transparent.
It may well be seen as the beginning of a stage of mass disapproval of the monarchy in this country. It'll take a long time before they pack their bags THO
Would you like that John?

He is correct it is his story to tell and there has been "briefings" against them. But is also William and Charles story as well. And that's the conflict right there. Hopefully Charles slims down the Monarchy to a small group and set the rest lose to join the real world.
