Most of it's too sweet, right?
Those of you who bother with bowls of dried-up bits of twig, stones and droppings, what's your preference?

When I was a young person, I could absolutely devour all manner of sugar coated cereals. Unsweetened things like Corn Flakes, Cheerios or Grape Nuts, I'd add sugar to. It's gross to remember.
Now? Granola and fruit - there's a more subtle natural sweetness there that I enjoy. The generic granola has some amount of cinnamon and honey that gives me about as much sweetness as I can handle.
Not that I won't occasionally devour incredibly sweet desserts - but even those don't seem quite as over-sweetened as the boxes of cereal my kids ask for.

Oh Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, you golden shards of honeyed deliciousness.
Many a happy hour or two spent stoned on the couch shoving endless handfuls of crunchy nut down my gob, I CAN TELL YOU
*sighs*

Coincidentally, I was going to start a thread on breakfast cereal but thought I'd be beat down or censored by our semi-benevolent overlord.
Not too sweet cereal I have in cupboard: raisin bran, honey bunches and oats, granola, which I dump some dried fruit in before I pour on milk.
Sweet cereal in cupboard: Frosted flakes, cocoa krispies, fruit loops.
Guess which ones I make a bowl of more?

I'm not much of a cereal eater, but I went through an Alpen phase a couple of years ago. I prefer the sweetened stuff to the regular - it goes down easier.

I've been craving a bowl of Rice Bubbles (Krispies) for a few weeks now, but I just can't muster the energy to SIT DOWN for breakfast you know?

My favorite is Captain Crunch. It's one of the few vices I have left.

Always have eaten loads of cereal. Usually have about 15-20 boxes on the shelf, prob 8-10 different ones. Often mix a sweet one with an unsweetened.
Usually with soya milk, which has a mild nutty flavour which complements most cereals.
Currently, the Lidl premium choc granola is fave, but perennial muesli and Crunchy Nut are always in stock. Ricicles and Curiously Cinnamon are the guiltiest treats, and I mix them with plain porridge oats.

I stick to granola; the stuff with no added sugar, preferably, though there needs to be some sweetness from something and as I don't really like fruit in my breakfast that tends to mean honey or agave syrup or something.
Most breakfast cereals are loaded with sugar so going sugar-free is a decent way of making sure you're not getting too much of the world's second favourite white powder.
Having said that it's a long time since I ate Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and Dougie's post above makes me wonder if I shouldn't indulge myself some time soon. When I was young and was allowed sweetened cereals at the weekend, it was always a toss-up between them and Weetos. Can you still get Weetos?

1 chopped up banana 1 part oats 2 parts of any alternative milk some fresh or frozen fruit shoved into the microwave for 3 minutes sprinkle all sort of nuts and seeds on top of it
This has been my breakfast every day for the past 2 years and I don't see that changing any time soon. For variety I'll change the kind of fruit, sprinkles and milk depending on what I feel like. Right now I'm eating loads of frozen blueberries and blackberries but when summer comes that'll switch to fresh strawberries, mangoes, and raspberries. I'm also loving almond milk so that's what I'm putting in a lot but I often use coconut milk too. Sometimes I'll get bored of peanuts and switch to cashews or just get a bag of mixed chopped nuts but the rest of the seeds and sprinkles are usually the same mixture of chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, cacao powder.
I never want to eat cereal ever again. I don't miss it one bit.

I just get those jumbo porridge oats, lob a handful of dried fruit in, and perhaps some salt if we've only got skimmed milk in.

My favorite is Captain Crunch. It's one of the few vices I have left. That was my favorite growing up. I like Captain Crunch with crunchberries too. They have peanut butter Captain Crunch now and I've thought about giving that a try.
