I like the sofa, but I'd change the upholstery. I like the stairs too, and I wanna go explore down in his piano/record room.

So we've nearly finished the renovation of the ground floor of our house, which involved a complete overhaul and sidereturn extension. The oven has yet to arrive, and there's still no connected water downstairs, meaning that we're still doing the washing up in the bath. It's been a bit of a long haul; three months out of the house in various places, which took a bit of a toll on my boy for a bit. But, hopefully, this should now be complete by the end of the month. Never done anything like this before, but the results are really worthwhile - we didn't obviously do any of the hard work, but chose everything. The garden took an absolute battering during the build, so we now have to completely redo that next year. Sometimes I really do wish I'd trained as a builder/carpenter/mason/plumber/electrician.

This is impressive Ray. Has that Ladbroke Grove/Performance late 60s vibe. I don't know if we're both just eternal juveniles, but not having to compromise for a partner, my place is heading the same way, but not as good. I aspire to this. Tried to stick some pics on, but being a fucking grandad when it comes to technology, I hit problems with them being too big. Dunno if anyone has any knobhead friendly instructions that might enable me to navigate this stuff .. 🤷♂️

Cheers for your help G, but I'm clearly still a fucking grandad. Can't get these any bigger and my patience is wearing thin... But anyway this is me. The 16th in a long series of homes throughout my life and the one I love the most. Been here just over 8 years. Only tiny, but lots of light, in a great location (you can see the Albert Club, built in 1874 out of the bedroom window) and it's just....me.

If you click on any of the pic riggers has put up, you can see them full screen. This is what happens when you upload directly. If you want to have them larger on here, you need to upload them to a hosting site and then link to them on here.

I'd like it if once - just ONCE - someone would agree with me on something here.

Aside from the placement of the legs, I think it's a nice piece of furniture.
