It's an example of ,rather than an oxford webster definition. The example of bono is spot on.

Bono did a lot for this behind the scenes for just one example (there are many more) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubilee_2000Bono put his name to something? so? that's his thing. If you were to interview him properly about he'd probably get it mixed up with band aid he puts his name to so much. He pulled out of band aid the night before he was "so supportive of it", then changed his mind. I doubt the reason was because he didn't trust bobert with all the money or how he was gonna spend it. The mighty Radiohead were involved in the drop the debt as well, does that put Thomas up there with bono?

You have a very narrow definition of art. I'm talking about expression, not being a politician. Nope, are you really saying that Freddie didn't express himself AT ALL? He was just in queen to be famous, and that's it? All the songs are empty? Well that's a bit extreme Markus. I'm saying the songs lack emotional depth and expression for the most part, instead relying on showy gestures. I'm saying his art was essentially facile in nature. You could argue he never pretended to be any great artist and instead just sought to entertain, which he did extremely well, but such extravagant claims are made on their behalf. I guess that's what I'm objecting to.

I strongly disagree, i think they had a good balance of emotional depth, expression and showmanship.

Absolutely nothing at all, Marcus. You carry on.

Absolutely nothing at all, Marcus. You carry on. So, you could prove me wrong, but you can't tell me what he did? I'm willing to change my mind about him, but you have to give me something.

You haven't taken my word so far. You've show yourself to be disinclined to believe anything positive. I'm not his agent. I really cannot be arsed.

I don't see how that's a big thing, it's normal.

So? it's a brilliant song? Powerful and poignant. If it had been left up to Freddie, most of it would've been the "De Dayo" bit!
