I don't love any of them. I picked "Brighton Rock" because I hate "Radio Ga Ga" and am kinda sick of the other three.

I'd never heard Brighton Rock before and having now heard it I hope to never hear it again. I don't mind Radio GA GA. The melody does draw you in. Queen were better in the 80s than the 70s. Their 70s records are some of the worst ever.

The real problem with Queen is you've got Brian May's bombastic musical instincts married to Mercury's relentless superficiality, put them together and you get something very ugly indeed. An empty box dressed in too many layers of fancy wrapping paper.

Only enjoy part of the last one and only because it's in a perfect scene in Shaun of the Dead (Otherwise, can't stand Queen)

An empty box dressed in too many layers of fancy wrapping paper. Without intending to be obsequious, that is the best nutshell critique I've seen of Queen. Totally agree.

If you don't take them for what (glory, magnificence etc) they usually project, they can at times be fun

Of the five you posted, I heartily dislike the three that I know, and don't see the point of listening to the two I've successfully avoided up to now. The one that msthang posted above isn't wholly bad, because there is a glimmer of humour there.

I quite like 'I'm Going Slightly Mad', mind.

Freddie's "superficiality"? What do you mean exactly. I thought it was well documented that he was bombastic in life as he was on stage. He think he was acting?

The song I thought would win is in fact the only song without any votes.
