The only similar thing I have is Alien Sex Fiend's Maximum Security which is some jazz album. I never figured out what album it actually is, or who by, I should play it to google sometime see if it recognises it. I once put on a Beefheart CD at work - Lick My Decals Off, Baby on Rhino - and Metallica came out of the speakers.

Something I just learnt: the first recording of "Time Is On My Side" was a 1963 45 by jazz trombonist Kai Winding "with vocal group" - the latter consisting of Dionne and Dee Dee Warwick and their aunt Cissy Houston (Whitney's mom). It was arranged by Jerry Ragovoy, the song's pseudonymous writer (the rest of the lyrics were added later by Jimmy Norman).
Bizarre.

(only because I have a CD of Ragavoy compositions and that one is on it)

Also has "directed by" rather than 'produced'. Was that used much back then?

Whether you have no interest or just a passing interest in Kylie, she always seems to manage one class earworm tune every few years. Her latest one is class. You wouldn't go looking for it but you wouldn't turn if over if it came on the wireless.

No mention of Tony Bennett passing? Not a big enough fan to start a thread.
