I agree with you about greed and numbness, but this isn't about greed it is a precedent setting business move which other trapped artist will now replicate. If Bowie had done this, like his Bowie bonds, it would be lauded. Just cause it's a different setting doesn't invalidate the business move. If you were musician and got screwed maybe you'd better appreciate it. I genuinely fail to see what is to be lauded Gav. Maybe if her landfilling old albums being replaced by the charity rack filling remastered versions now available make the poor love even richer then it's a win win for (drum roll) her. Maybe everyone else can just, I dunno go to the bank and demand their mortgage payment contracts are re-written or if they design their own credit card then that means they choose their own credit rating. With Spotify and Taylor's fans listening on Bluetooth headphones on mobiles the quality isnt an issue or noticed and the streamers now dictate the music's worth. It is and was a pointless exercise. Kudos to her for finding so many mugs. Then again, you tube influencers are more savvy. Old man yells at cloud, despite changing his environment looks for the same cloud to yell at everyday. Feels grateful to reptile overlords for their beneficence.

Peasant doffs his cap at the rich , he doesn't know why but he expects everyone to feel the same. 350 or 550 million dollars buys an awful lot of Kleenex. Even if you cry a river.

Lame. Like drinking Bud for breakfast and then taking on tie dyed hippies on the internet.

I'm at work and listening to "You" by Gong at low volume, and just a couple of minutes ago two of my co-workers came by to discuss the possibility of reshooting a painting that had been restored since the first time I photographed it, and one of them, a woman named Liz who I haven't really spoken to much said, "What are you listening to...is this...Gong?" So anyway, long story short, I have a new friend.

I’ve really been enjoying this track recently – by the legendary Australian duo. Obviously it’s catching the ELO/Donna Summer wave with the strings but it really does have something – the way it pulls a catchy chorus out of the hat, after all that. If this is yacht rock… aye aye skipper. Caught in a Heatwave is a beauty too.

It’s got a real Neil Diamond vibe to my ears. Could just be the guy’s voice.

Very redolent of its time. The intro had me thinking of 10cc's "The Things We Do For Love".

Just back from seeing King Crimson live. Never a fan after the first album, just for me they did 3 songs from the first including 21st Century Schizoid Man. Never sure who the singer was, I just looked him up, "Jakko" Jakszyk, and he sounded just like whoever the original singer was. (Greg Lake?) This guy was dead on. Three drummers was interesting. The hall was huge and brand new but still the sound was a bit low volume for such a heavy band. And the Japanese crowd was interesting. From our balcony seat we could see the entire first floor and nary a head was bopping - except mine. They all may have well been jurors. But when the time for final ovation came they were wonderful, applauding for many minutes full of appreciation.
