Interesting middle eight on that one, really serves to highlight the quality of the verse and chorus.

One of my favourite John Martyn songs. Fits perfectly in the album.

Interesting middle eight on that one, really serves to highlight the quality of the verse and chorus. I guess if it had a female Moldovan peasant girl making throat music interspersed with the occasional sound of a power drill and backwards deer mating calls it would have appealed more to you. As it is I find it more exciting and relaxing than the dreadful john Martyn posted above.

^ The whistles and shouts from the audience in the last couple of minutes sound like they're jamming with the band.

^ I was on the phone with an old pal yesterday, and we eventually found ourselves talking about how strong and strange the Prunes' second album Underground is (especially on the heels of such a disappointing first album). They had something good going there - the Stockholm recording is real fine - it's a shame they couldn't keep going down that path.
That said, my favorite "Mojo" not done by Muddy Waters remains the Shadows Of Knight's second attempt - if only for how hard drummer Tom Schiffour in particular seems to be struggling to keep the lid on:

Although I also have their first two albums, I pretty much stick with the live one which is possibly the greatest live concert recording ever, at least to these ears. My understanding is David Axelrod basically took over after Underground. I haven't listened to those releases.
