B
I really like both, but B is a very nice nod to Coffin/King and East Coast early 60s street R&B.

Both interesting choices unknown to me. Per my tentative Google check, B seems to have connections to both Hapshash and the Coloured Coat and Chumbawumba! I want to vote for it just for that. Fortunately it's a pleasant enough quirky little tune. Same could be said about both of these in fact. Nothing mind-blowing, but both dig below the surface and to their credit manage to dig up something that's actually worthy of not just staying there.
Again, I wish both of these were going up against some of the weaker choices this round - lots to choose from!

both are very nice but I'm predisposed to love A I've been binging on my Arto Lindsay albums and while I don't hear any skronky guitar I do hear "modern" production techniques. the marriage of modern and traditional bla bla bla. I think it's really lovely.

Thought A was Portuguese for a mo - it's a strange dialect of Spanish to these ears. It's the sort of thing that people who denigrate the X-Factor think is real music.
I agree with the positive comments for
B
- it's haunting, odd, yet memorable and attractive

Two left field picks, both quite pleasant to these ears. Could vote for either any other day. Think I'll give it to the one that left me more intrigued.

Thought A was Portuguese for a mo - it's a strange dialect of Spanish to these ears I thought she was Argentinian, but looked up and found that she is (was) half Mexican. Go figure.

And nobody proffered an L7 band pick, yet 7 Lee Fields

A is really interesting, the highlight of this round so far. A confident, effective vocal, with those lovely Snee-approved modern production touches. Love the click-clack percussion, and delicacy of the strings. Beautiful track.
Sadly, B isn't affecting me the same way it seems to have the majority. It feels very much of that post-glam era of Bowie-inspired Hoople-isms, perhaps even Bill Fay-adjacent. Not particularly interesting though.

A could be a lullaby or a love song for all I can tell. It's nice.
B is a bit too Sha Na Na for my liking. If they had dialed in a bit of the Bonzos and weirded it up a bit I might like it more.

A was elegant and vaguely sensual. I'd have liked the song to develop more, it did rather get stuck in a place that was more repetitive than hypnotic, that said I liked its overall vibe. B was a very inept attempt at Spector pop. There's been a lot of this in the last ten years, some private pressing made by some well meaning amateur as a hobby in 1972, getting rediscovered some 40 years later and acclaimed as some oddball outsider classic. It feels like jaded music fans who have listened to too much, having to go further out there to get their fix and end up scraping forgotten remains from the bottom of the barrel.

The first track has that Marc Almond-like moody texture in the music, which is appealing..The second just sounds like badly recorded 50s aping or attempt at Spector, like G mentioned..Don't see anything "Odd" or different about it....Vote A

I enjoyed A, it has a strange sensuality and good build up. 'Nostalgia' is right for B, there's nothing much else there.

B is nice, but seems bolted together is a slightly strange way to my ears, a mix of stuff that sounds good at some points but off at others. A on the other hand has a really nice mood that i enjoyed all the way through, cheers picker.
