One thing I did watch which surprisingly hasn't been discussed on here was Four Hours at the Capitol. I found this pretty gripping. I don't think I appreciated before how frightening it must have been. The fact the "protestors" were so unrepentant was no surprise, but still made you angry. I watched it. You've pretty much said all I had to say about it. Some of that new (to me) footage from inside the building realy hammered home the terror, yes, in a way that the stuff released in January hadn't reallly. I couldn't get angry at the deluded fuckwits (well maybe the preachy prat in the cowboy hat), felt sorry for them in the end. What lives they must lead. Strange how it escalated and subsided all the time. When they first broke in the cries of USA, USA were followed by scenes more typical of tourists, wandering around filming everything. Then they kind of attacked the cops and then they were mingled in together. It seemed whenever a police line was formed it turned into a pushing match. The " tunnel" was quite unbelievable. I couldn't believe that more shots were not fired. Trump must have been so proud.

A little too drawn out for me (what isn't these days) but nevertheless still very watchable.

Watched two of Steve McQueen's Small Axe anthology dealing with post war Black British history: Mangrove and Red White and Blue. I picked these as they seemed to get the most acclaim and neither disappointed, powerful and thought provoking. Will get round to the others in due course. Did you ever see the others, G? I'm going to watch the first one tonight

I started watching this the other night after a couple of recommendations from friends. It's great, another one in a pattern of good TV series that have come out of Israel in the last few years.

I enjoyed the return of Vienna Blood the other day. I like the way it combines old fashioned storytelling with a historical angle. Nice to watch a self contained drama as well rather than all these padded out long form dramas.

Anyone watch anything decent over Xmas then? masterchef professionals rematch special. good to see 'full of eastern promise' philly back again, but even better to see the winning chef cook up a VEGAN menu.
