That's almost comically fey and groovy (apart from the bits where they start shouting). I like it - I can actually see late-60s hippy couples running through long grass in slow motion as it plays. It wouldn't go in my special list THO as it's a bit wobbly but I appreciate the dedication.

So as it doesn't look like Dougie is rushing back, I've changed my nominee to Toby and if he doesn't fancy/notice it, you can always try Marcus. Or gash.

Gash just lurks in the shadows and has done for a couple of years now. I'd love to see him write regularly again but it's just not his style.
Markus I dunno.
But....yeah, point taken.

Nice choice - I like Telex as they belong to the pre-MIDI era of sequencer eurodisco and of course, they're Belgian. Before everything got super-tight with MIDI, there was a looseness about electronic music - it had to be triggered at the same time, playing "live", whereas MIDI sync'ed everything up perhaps too neatly. Moskow Diskow is a bit of a Detroit techno favourite - it featured a lot on the Electrifyin' Mojo radio show back in the eighties, so was heavily sampled by 2nd wave artists such as Carl Craig and Anthony Shakir.
My favourite from that album is "Pakmovast", although the best by them is the masterful and somewhat sibilant "Raised by Snakes".

Sorry for the delay, I accidently deleted a post a few days ago. I really like this. It's the kind of thing we used to call progressive house or deep house back in the day. Trancey, but subtly shifting and building and with some subtlety melodic bits in there that keep things interested. I can see why this has built a reputation over the years. Cheers Toby.

I've loved the Clientele since I first heard them (ca. Suburban Light). Only finally got to see them just this year.
Inspired choice!

I just cannot get into them. Nothing specific, just not there.
