i'll put another spanner in the works and say that I loathe watching women's sport. i actually resent having women's football shoved down my throat by the likes of the bbc. of course, the PC brigade will accuse me of being a misogynist, but i find the skill level so inferior that it's impossible to draw any enjoyment from it. i'd rather be honest about it than patronising. Here, they're alway trying to pimp women's college and WNBA, pro basketball. I rarely watch. It's probably closer to the game I'm used to playing under the rim, but it's not nearly as athletic as men's college and pro hoops. Good women players are probably better consistent outside shooters than guys, but because they're not as athletic, they can't get their shots off if you're guarding them close and they can't get around you because they don't have the quickest first step to get by a good guy player. That's bonus opinion. Sometimes, I'll watch college women's softball. That can be semi-entertaining for a couple minutes.

Anyway here's some goals that illustrate my point. What other sport allows for so many varied ways of scoring - despite the fact that scoring is so much harder than in other sports? It's that strange contradiction that makes the difference.

Sorry I did mean to add something there, but quoting with videos is so hard on this board. One of the main reasons I don't post much here is too many things aren't straightforward.

It's easier to edit using BBcode tab. It's not ideal though I agree

It's not remotely difficult. Just click on BBCode and it's a piece of piss, exactly the same as it is on BCB. Or if that is too difficult, just put your comment in with the videos and some kind admin will come along and edit it for you.

It's easier to edit using BBcode tab. It's not ideal though I agree It's exactly the fucking same as BCB, where you have to click preview to see how it will appear on the page. Here, Preview is the default mode. That's the only fucking difference. sheesh, I'm no AI whizz, but it took me 30 seconds to work that out.

Many things are easier here. It just takes some people longer to figure it out. I like that it changes the size of your avatar for you - you can use any online image at all. And adding youtube clips is ten times easier than it was on BCB.

I'm sorry Ray that isn't straightforward at all. Am I meant to know what 'bbcode' means? Why when I clicked quote did it not apparently let me delete parts of Ed's post so I could then add my quote?

I don't like the thin typeface and blank white spaces either. Sorry John, it's just what I feel.

I don't like the thin typeface and blank white spaces either. Sorry John, it's just what I feel. It's not what you're used to, that's all. If I changed every aspect of the design so it was the same as BCB then you'd be happy. Anyway - nice to see you posting. Even if it's all rubbish today

When trying to respond to individual parts of a post i.e quote a part, reply, quote another part it's more of a faff as well because the quote tags are different (author=@poster etc) and include timestamps. I'd remove the timestamps from the quote function myself. I think they are ugly and unnecessary. People get used to a certain way of doing things. Even small changes can really throw them. I work in IT with volunteers so I can deffo see similarities.

I don't even know what timestamps are! BBCode is a button you press at the bottom of the create post menu, to the right of the one saying Preview. If you press that, you will get this version of what you posted (I've taken out the square brackets at the beginning and the end so it shows up) quote author="@madcyril1 " source="/post/4381/thread" timestamp="1550142843"]I don't even know what timestamps are![/quote The timestamp is irrelevant, just ignore it, and post your reply after the '/quote' And if you want to quote several things separately in Copehead stylee, just enclose the rest using the quote button third from the right in the menu at the top, exactly as you would if using it on BCB

I've got it now Ray. I didn't know BBcode meant quote. I prefer these things being in plain English as techie jargon is one of my bugbears.

In my obstinate refusal to understand the quote function, I do fear I've become the Yellowjacket of the board.
