Eno really comes off like a prick too.

Colbert's a good sort, eh? He's letting them speak, he's respectful, he's not trying to get easy laughs or quotable lines of anything. Respect.

I really enjoyed that.
David seems to alternate between guffaws and scowls, Jerry's mellow, Chris Frantz is like your jolly next-door neighbour and Tina Weymouth is the sweetest person alive.
I do wonder now if they'll do dates. They must have been offered a TON.

Tina projected something very sweet there, for sure.
I would imagine there's a lot of disincentive to working together/performing onstage, competing with what they were 40 years ago, and things like revamping/sprucing up/and re-hyping their finest hour (which includes sitting on a couch together) might be the compromise that they and their fans will have to meet on.
I have no idea what the actual Byrne/Frantz dynamic is, but...I would expect it to be the most volatile/fragile of them all. Harrison seems like a very practical sort. You wonder if Byrne sits there for 20 minutes on that couch wondering why the drummer is doing all of the talking? And then goes back to his OWN kingdom.

I have a lot of love for this album, Jerry Harrison Casual Gods ... ... in spite of its late-80s production making me wince painfully at times. The songs are pretty strong, for mine, and if they featured production choices/sounds from '80 instead of '87 I can't help but feel that this set would be much more popular nowadays than the footnote it has largely become. 'Rev It Up' still stands up for me unconditionally...

Also...when Colbert and Frantz (presumably) start talking about "people dancing in the aisles of the theater" and showed the illustrative footage (to "Naive Melody", no less), my first and only thought was
"WHITE PEOPLE!"
