Carell was basically playing his Maxwell Smart character. Read my lips carefully through my clenched teeth. that movie does not exist. It never happened.

My son and I just finished Lillyhammer and really enjoyed it. Steven Van Zandt is the star and Springsteen makes a cameo as his hitman brother in the final episode.

Did you like the sly hint that it might all be Silvio's coma dream? I did not catch that, but liked the mob movies references and the nod to Fight Club.

I'm watching Season 4 of WKRP In Cincinnati.
After more than forty years it finally occurs to me that the surname of character Les Nessman is only one letter off from "newsman" (which is what he hypothetically is).

that's my favorite character on the show. IMO there wasn't nearly enough Les Nessman content.

The older I get, the closer I get to loving them all more or less equally. It was an inspired ensemble.
But I think Mr. Carlson is still my very favorite.

Recently watched the boxset of Derry Girls. Absolutely brilliantly written and acted, funniest thing I've seen on telly in ages.
Am now watching the Sky comedy Brassic, just into season 2. Also very good and very funny. And up to episode 9 of the fifth season of Better Call Saul.

Erin is 26, James and Orla are 27 and Michelle and, unbelievably, little Claire are both 33!

My son and I have stared Deadwood. Ian McShane eats up the screen and it has lots of character actors you'd recognize.

I started that when it was new. I always meant to get back to it. I love westerns and I felt like the approach was valid and the acting top-notch.
I guess I should try to watch it before HBO MAX starts wanting me to pay them money.

Just about halfway through, this seems really well made and structured, I can't help but feel that it's going to have a terrible last episode.

I watched a doc about the fella out of Korn. I got into it quite a bit, even tho' the band are wank and it was the same old rock and roll tale of addiction, abandoned family members, 'redemption' and all that nonsense. Felt for his daughter, mind. And he wasn't a complete dope.
