Funny thing art. You get these paintings and if you are lucky you might see them once, maybe in a crowded gallery or whatever, and that's it. The rest of the time it's a jpeg on your laptop screen. A bit like enjoying an album through the wall as it's played by a next door neighbour. I've never thought about like that, but you're right. Quite odd when you think about it.

Quite odd when you think about it. well, I'd say the jpeg is analagous to a record, in that it's a reproduction of a performance, a live event

A family friend became a pretty good artist who painted local landscapes. I have a couple of her paintings in my house, including this. I gave one to a friend of mine whose dad helped to protect the local bay lands.

Hippopotamus may remember this that I was inpired to buy some art by something she posted. When I can, I buy art from Catherine McCargar, who paints landscapes of the bay lands on this side of the bay.
