I've been getting into Czech Cubism. This is by Bohumil Kubišta, 1911, entitled Dvojnik

With a name like Kubišta he was practically destined to make art like that.

I really enjoyed seeing the Pop Art in Wolverhampton Art Gallery. They have the largest collection in the UK outside of London - although it's mostly in one room. This one, you have to see. But I loved it. A lot of the appeal is in its size. Patrick Caulfield, Tandoori Restaurant, 1971

Floor to ceiling! so....what's that? 8 foot, maybe?
There were copies of some of the major works in the (huge) cafe, but the sandwiches were a disaster so I didn't hang around.

I really like his use of colour, which sounds a bit of a bland thing to say about an artist, but sod it, it's true!

What's the Preludin consensus on Dali? Personally I've never been too moved by his stuff, but at work today I'm shooting a massive six-volume folio of The Divine Comedy with 100 illustrations by the guy, and I've seen a few neat things, like this one: "The Simoniacs"
