I didn't watch the ceremony but I did see THIS this morning, which I thought was beautiful Hard to believe someone so elegantly beautiful is married to the lead singer of fucking Mumford & Sons. Christ on a stick.

What has Ru Paul done to you douglind? I was like this before Rupaul. An ex once described me as a "gay black man trapped inside a straight white mans body" on the account of my love of house music and my keen eye for female fashion Bitch I was non-binary and gender fluid before it was fashionable.

#1. This bikini shit needs to die. A potentially nice dress ends up looking like a fucking mermaid outfit. Nice looking lass though. #2 Much better. I like this one a lot but I could have done without the feathery frilly bits #3 Nah. Not flattering for her tits...pushing them out like playdo at the top #4 potentially very nice but the waist isn't right and makes her look larger than she surely is. #5 Dreadful and a bit baggy round the waist. These lasses need to eat more to fill these dresses properly #7 has old school class. I quite like this even if it is quite safe but that's ok. Know what you look good in and work it. Nice one. #8 I like this too. Things have improved with the last couple. Nice colour too and looks sharp round the waist and emphasises her curves. #9 Nooooope #10 EAT SOMETHING WOMAN. Potentially very nice but ruined by a lass with the body of a teenage boy on a growth spurt #11. Remove that dreadful bow thing at the front and it would be good. At least Halle has some breasts to fill her dress too.

Haven't seen The Father yet - did anyone here? - but don't doubt that Hopkins was great. Still, only award that was a major shocker for me. I guess The Octopus Teacher winning over Crip Camp was a minor shocker, but Crip Camp was the only one I saw. All in all went pretty much as expected (didn't watch the broadcast).
Promising Young Woman and Da 5 Bloods likely next on the agenda for me, but Collective got a very positive review from someone I respect a great deal, so that's probably going to be on the bill at some point too.
I do think the best pic winner was quite deserving, and I'm not buying into the 'poverty porn' accusations. I can elaborate if anyone wants to fight about it...

If nobody takes the bait then I'll pretend to fight with you since I don't have a penny for your thoughts.
I enjoyed the broadcast more than usual, especially early on. no host jokes, no musical numbers, just personal stories of people who were there & nominated for awards.
unfortunately, without Quest Love playing people off winners had no reason to try to focus their remarks. we were at least an hour in before I thought somebody nailed it. I get that it's a big night and a lot of people are involved but a few of those people should have kept in mind that there were several hours left to go.
by the time it was over it was pretty much another awards show. If not for Glenn Close the "embarrass the celebrities" segment would have gone completely flat.
this will be remembered as the year of "Nomadland" and when "Best Picture" didn't go last.
