I suspect domesticated tom's are less likely to do this, but it probably still happens.

I still don't really understand this, but I don't want to cause Jimmy upset by asking too much. It's just this idea of a 'feral' tom cat, but he mentions the owner too. If they roam free then after something like this they should be put down. If there's an owner, they should be punished somehow (maybe this sounds naive)

I was gonna mention "put down" but i never heard of a cat being put down for reasons like this compared to dogs.

Killed, then! if the cat's wild and it's wandering into homes and killing kittens....you know?

If there is an owner it is irresponsible for them to not have the cat neutered.

I’m really sorry to hear about your kittens Jimmy. Traumatic ain’t in it. I’ve been extra-vigilant with my pregnant cat in light of your experience, and yesterday morning she gave birth on a chair in our room, which hopefully is a safe place.
There are five of them – every one a cutie – and I have homes for three of them already, I think.

That last picture just screams "Get....The Fuck....Outta Here". Only because she's upside down!
Don't worry Markus, she’s getting plenty of peace and quiet – the curtains are drawn and the only noise apart from quarrelling kittens is my keyboard and occasionally the TV downstairs. She likes to pop out now and again to stretch her legs and empty her bladder and so on, of course.

I saw five fox cubs trotting in single file through the garden yesterday and jabbering to each other in their squeaky voices. What's that got to do with cats you may ask? Nothing, except they look a bit like cats when they're very young. Very cute anyway.

Our wee girl is quite poorly, only 2 months old. Possible thrombosis affected her back leg is the worst scenario, pulled muscle or hamstring the best. Worrying times.

The first night at a hotel in Redding, CA, I couldn't find the cat in my hotel room the next morning. She had found the one spot under the bed near the headboard to hide so my son and I had to move the mattress and I grabbed her and put her in the crate for the next leg of the trip.
When we got to the new place, I told myself I wasn't going to take her to the hotel, but put the litter box and food/water dish out at the house since we were going to be there all day, each day, anyway.
The next day, none of the food was eaten and the litter box was undisturbed. I figured she might have escaped while we were exploring the house. The next day the same, except a vent under the kitchen sink was pried open. But no cat all day.
The next day the same and my son was saying, "Time to get Penny 2.0." We were sure she had escaped.
The next day all the food was taken, the vent was open, but I thought maybe it was rats who'd crawled up. Another problem altogether.
Finally, Friday night, our first night in the house, I heard her mew about 9 pm. She'd been staying in the crawl space under the house until she thought it was safe and Derek and I were the only ones around again. She's done that every night. She comes out, hangs out with me, sleeps on my bed, hangs around a little in the morning, and then goes back down under the house to sleep all day in the crawl space. The new normal.
